We are building Voobin as a home for AI films and series—a place where creators can share their work, viewers can discover stories that speak to them, and communities can help new episodes come to life.
We believe a story can matter deeply even when its audience is small.
From mass medium to atomized medium
For generations, media was built around one question:
What should we make for as many people as possible?
When production and distribution were expensive, reaching a large audience helped make a project possible. This shaped the stories that were funded, the voices that were heard, and the choices available to viewers.
The internet opened publishing to more people. Creators could reach communities gathered around a shared interest, language, or point of view.
Social platforms and recommendation systems brought another shift. The question became:
What should this person watch?
Two people could open the same platform and experience different media worlds.
AI may take this transformation further. As creative tools develop, they could help people make stories for increasingly specific audiences, eventually even for one person.
We see this as a movement toward Atomized Media:
Mass Media → Niche Media → Social Media → Algorithmic Media → Atomized Media
Atomized Media is media whose creation, distribution, and experience are centered around the individual. It begins with a person's interests, imagination, and desire to experience a particular story.
Large audiences and shared cultural moments will continue to matter. What changes is the starting point: a story should have a chance to exist because it matters to someone.
Why Voobin exists
Some stories speak to millions. Others speak to a small community, a handful of people, or a single person who has been waiting for something like them.
We want to make room for all of those possibilities.
AI can give more people the tools to turn an idea into a film or series. Creators bring the imagination, judgment, and perspective that give those tools a purpose.
Voobin exists to help their work find an audience and a path forward.
A viewer who discovers a series they love should have a way to connect with its creator and support the next episode. A creator with a committed audience should have a place to build on that connection.
That is where our vision begins: with stories, the people making them, and the people who want them to continue.
